Jorge ZALSZUPIN

Brazil (Born in 1922)

Born in Poland, Jorge Zalszupin settled in Brazil in 1950 where he developed his architect career. Fond of Brazilian design, he started to create his own furniture for his clients and found his studio. His work is made of graceful lines, classic details and a remarkable use of local woods. In 1955, he found l’Atelier with designers Julio Katinski, Oswaldo Mellone and Paulo Jorge Pedreira. The design firm was so prolific, that its hard to find public buildings without furniture from l’Atelier.
